“That’s not fair Apple! I want a techie pad” says Droid. “Well go get your own! I’ve got mine already” says Apple.
That’s kind of how the convo has been going on between Apple with the iPad and Droid. Droid barley comes out and all of a sudden they are thrown into the shark tank! iPad has hit the market keeping most of the loyal Apple users entertained. (Most of those that purchased the iPad were Apple owners already)
What does all this mean exactly? Great question. Looks like Droid just may have their own version of an iPad- called Android tablet. The screen size will vary from 3-10 inches along with the prices $100- $350. Archos is the company helping to produce the tablet. The processor will be between 800MHz and 1GHz with a 3G open GL support. It will be multi touch which the first of its kind is for the company Archos.
The competition is getting bolder and much more complex which brings lots of good stuff to the consumer. Droid obviously is on to something in that Apple does seem a bit threatened; both sides seem to have a loyal fan base. The future of the Droid and iPhone will most definitely be interesting more importantly it will be made at a lower cost (more likelier of Droid than Mac) which will be more available to average consumers like ourselves that don’t have $500 drop on a phone.
