There is a free version where you can look through word files and Excel spreed sheets. The free version allows you to see your copied Excel and Word documents to your phone. BUT if you get the full version you would be able to create and edit the documents.  Along with that you could check out the Powerpoint editing and PDF viewing. The full version has a fee.

The basic app is free but there are fuller versions with much more available with a cost.  There are other apps out there, budget that is on droid market and also mint.com. Depending on what you choose could be a price.

While traveling that can be so frustrating! This is a great app that helps you with up to date currency rates. The convenience of being on your phone is the best part.

Fake A CALL

That is right! Want to get out of a meeting? This app will call your phone with a real voice to give you an excuse to leave the meeting or whatever function. You can record your own script or have another voice do it. You can buy for .99 on android market.

Bump

This is the next thing to come over business cards, just may save some money! This app allows you to bump your phone with the other persons phone-exchanging contact info. One of the phrases used ” contacts in motion tend to stay in motion” thought that was pretty catchy!

A translator on your phone can really help you out when out and stuck in one of those awkward situations. BabelDroid or Google Translator is a great one that allows you to translate and it will speak for you! This will save you so much! Just search in android market.

Gotta Access In House Data While On The Road?

Remote DB is an app that gives access to a remote database-mainly programmers would really dig this.  Although it does make it easier for accessing the company’s data while away. If possible get your DBA to write a query to the database-then most everyone would likely be able to utilize the inventory, invoices, etc $2.99. Not bad- android market

This is my phone. I absolutely love it. I love it because …

It is big enough for me to find in my huge purse, I’ve dropped it ( *highly recommend that you don’t do this*) , I always get great service (of course also depends on your cell provider), the applications work very well, I like having the option of either a touch screen keyboard or an actual keyboard, the big screen helps with seeing pictures and I also like that there are limited buttons.

Those are just my thoughts, I’m sure there are some others out there that get super technical-cool but this was what I liked..

Okay! Hands DOWN! I think I have stumbled upon one of the coolest apps so far. Apps that give you drink recipes!! That is right; you can just look up on your phone for the quick ingredients. It sure comes in handy, I remember when going out with friends while sitting at a bar  we all would argue about what the ingredients were in a drink. The other kicker was while I would be at the grocery store I would want to buy the stuff to make the drink, with a crazy ass name that sounded so delicious but I didn’t  know what the hell was in it! (Damn I really hated that )

Sure you got the internet but it is just SOOOOO much easier not having to Google but to simply just look up on your phone. I also found the app totally convenient when it came to the last minute meet ups. A new, fun drink always was a hit! OR OR challenge the cute bartender-that is always fun

There are some free apps out there but also some reasonably priced apps as well. I first would go to your android market and see what you can find that’s free, then go from there.

Droids are taking over the WORLD! It is so exciting really, for the longest time Apple was the top dog. All the while Google was buying its time building one of the most AMAZING pieces of technology humans have ever seen. Mad credit goes out to a company such as Google for seeing the potential in so many different people and being able to harness such talent and to really impact the world, in a positive way.

In many ways the Droid phone is an achievement in human thought processes. I’m sure it was Google’s intent to be able to build a bridge between the human mind and how a cell phone should work, just the natural way to navigate around and to apply different concepts. It is so not complicated which is the coolest part! It is self explanatory and who knew that once you opened the market up to anyone, any developer you brought so many possibilities to the world. It also I think in part plays a good role in uniting many people in a common interest. Now more and more people are going to forums and discussing technical and practical issues. Really teaming up and brainstorming for resolutions and new ideas. The pros and not so pros with technology.

Mobile phones are being used more frequently than PC now. This has brought the $$ signs to advertisers now. Even the other phone carriers. People tend to click on more of the ads and such while surfing on their mobile phones rather than the common PC. It is now BOOMING when it comes to advertising on mobile devices.

Google has begun allowing advertisers to aim for the high end and certain devices including the support for those campaigns. The fact that Google allows developers from various backgrounds, the opportunity to get involved which will help bring down costs, will bring advanced technology to all of us. Many of the GPS applications have brought more growth in advertising due to the location based services.

This company has done so well that it did not have to push a campaign for one of its latest phones. The media coverage alone was what did the work for them. Brilliant!

For so many people Twitter is the next best thing to chocolate. Twitter on your Android phone is like warm melted lava chocolate on a gooey chocolate piece of cake. Over dose on the chocolate!
