They do at that! It has a lot to do with using so many services. You can turn off things like Wi-fi when you don’t need it or some of the other services your phone uses in order to prolong the batter life. Another option is to use the native android app to turn off apps and services that are not being used at the moment.

Nothing you can do about Android battery life in the long-run. They suck the life out of batteries.

Thank you for your insightful comment. Yes you’re right Google is always pushing for innovative adn resourceful Android Development. Just in general I think the company is actually always one step ahead in many ways. But the Updates on the Android Market are good opportunity for those that have skills to be a developer and make some profit off their hard work. Kudos to them! The good ones of course
